Thank you, Dr Callum for this great addition to my recipe file. I love that some of the recipes incorporate almond meal, and flax meal. What I liked most about this book were the directions following the ingredients. I felt as though you were standing right beside me in the kitchen, telling me what to do, in sequence, so that the dish came out perfect. That is a great help in preparing something for the first time. I would recommend this book to anyone choosing to eat low carb without giving up tasty foods.Product details

Dr. Callum's recipes are refreshingly unique!
Her charm is in her writing style.
I feel like she is standing in the kitchen with me!
I simply loved this book. The recipes were delicious and flavorful I hope to lose a few pounds by eating from tthis book at least twice a week!
I've tried a few of the recipes. The directions are easy to follow and the results are good tasting and healthy. A suggestion---perhaps some tweaks as per spices.
I liked most of the recipes but found a few unhealthy ingredients such as canola oil (aka rapeseed oil, genetically modified and highly processed). I would substitute coconut oil.
The 30 minute chicken recipe was GREAT!!! It was easy to prepare, as I had most of the seasonings in my cabinet!. I would recommend if you don't like your vegetable cooked to well, place in when chicken is nearly cooked. I also suggest that either you "drain" your diced tomatoes and/or include size of can. I used an 8oz. can and with the tomato juice and chicken juice, it cooked my vegetables too done for my taste. I would strongly recommend this low carb recipe book for ANYONE looking to lose weight without losing the taste of delicious food!
While this cookbook is titled low-carb, most of the recipes, especially the desserts, are not. They contain sugar, corn, flour, dried fruits, etc. All of which are restricted on a low-carb diet. Also, the cooking instructions are a bit breezy and nonspecific, almost like your neighbor is chatting with you while you're cooking and giving you the recipe while she's having a glass of wine. There are better books out there.
I thoroughly enjoyed the options presented in this book. The very idea of having to curtail one's desires offers immediate push back. But I did not get the feeling that I would not be able to address my finicky taste buds, especially when it comes to breakfast and snacks. There are several choices upon which to build. I do not use the microwave to cook anything. And I noticed on the egg roll recipe that the option to cook cabbage and carrots was offered. While I won't do that. I will definitely use this recipe. I would highly recommend this to people on the go, people looking to make changes in a way they could be successful and to people who a re working without the support of a nutritionist
