The first thing I saw as I walked into the Barker Hanger at E3 07 was Super Mario Galaxy at Nintendo’s station. I quickly snatched a controller, and I started off as the smiling plumber standing on a rather small planetoid in the Honey Comb Galaxy. The spherical planetoid was populated with honey bees. The point of each planetoid is to find the giant star so you can warp to the next world.
Before I continue, let me give you a brief description of how the game is set up. You control Mario using the analog nun chuck, and perform jumps, spin attacks, and shoot crystals with the Wii remote. You run around and collect colored crystals which are saved in your inventory. You point the remote at the screen, which displays a star cursor, and pull the trigger on the remote which fires the crystals you have collected. You fire the crystals at your enemy, at mushrooms encased in crystals, or at practically anything on screen.
When you collect one of the mushrooms in the Honey Comb Galaxy, Mario puts on a bee suit which gives you the ability of limited flight. So after flying around the planetoid, spin hitting some enemies, and after going through some pipes which take you all the way through the planetoid and spit Mario out on the other side, I flew around a waterfall where I found the giant star which warped me to the next world.
Now that was a quick concise description of the game play. What it doesn’t elaborate on is the absolute fun Super Mario Galaxy is. Simply put, Super Mario Galaxy is an absolute blast. It may not have the impressive graphics you get with games on other systems, but it more than makes up for it with the game play.
I enjoyed Super Mario Galaxy about twice as much as any other game I demoed at E3 07. Running around the smaller planetoids, trying to jump when your up-side-down, and controlling Mario from all angles made this title stand out in a crowd.

Some of the great things that immediately jump out at you with the new release of the Mario Kart Wii are that there are a huge number of courses that are both imaginative and challenging making this game a definite buy for all.
It is a deeply integrated with online players, and it's easy to get right into for players who are at a beginner on up to advanced level. Mario Kart Wii is a fun, strategic system that has added two wheel vehicles to the mix.
You might be surprised with some of the additions to this already wildly popular game. These include motorcycles and dirt bikes. Despite those who long for the pure weapons-based go-kart racing of before, you will be pleasantly surprised with the inclusion of two wheeled vehicles.

Mario Kart's big event is the Grand Prix mode which pits player against 11 other computerized competitors running a race that covers four-courses to get to the finish. With Grand Prix, you select three different engine sizes and difficulty settings.
Initially, there are four cups available along with four others that can be unlocked by winning against their predecessors. What this does is creates a total of 32 diverse courses, and of those, half are brand-new for the Wii.
The rest are remastered versions of classic stages that were included in previous games. What this does is provides a mix of new and old offering both nostalgia and novelty into the game.
The new midair stunt system activates by flicking the remote on the Wii. This allows you to leave from a ramp-assisted jump and allows your racer to execute a trick that's extreme like a 360-degree spin, which when the racer lands, you are rewarded with a considerable speed boost.
In order to execute this trick, many of the new tracks come with huge half-pipes, a multitude of moguls, ramps and pits that have been placed precisely in spots to encourage extreme stunt work. This could be considered a flaw, but it does inject a ton of fun and a totally new strategy into the game.

A lot of care needs to be taken when storing different foods as different foods have a variety of storage requirements to prevent bacteria from cultivating and cross contamination. Below are a few tips to protect you, your family and your friends.
Storing Vegetables and Fruit
1. Vegetables should be stored at the bottom of your fridge, in a separate compartment known as the vegetable crisper, however, you should keep potatoes, sweet potatoes, onions, and garlic in a cool, dark and well aired place other than your fridge, tomatoes on the other hand are juicier when left out, but when tomatoes are being used any left over should be chilled

5. Pack all your frozen foods neatly in the freezer so there is plenty of room for the door to close. If any food defrosts on the way home never ever refreeze to do this is you run the risk of cultivating bacteria. Keep the food frozen until needed to maintain quality, as bacteria will begin to multiply when the food is thawed.
Storing Meat Products
6. Fresh meat such as chicken and fish always carry some bacteria so it is very important that these foods are always kept as cold as possible. Bacterial growth slows down in the cooler temperatures, when the heat increases the bacteria multiplies exponentially, cooking food properly kills bacteria. Store meat, fish and chicken in the coldest part of the fridge. It is very important that raw and cooked meat or fish are stored in completely different parts of the fridge to prevent cross contamination and raw food should be kept as close to the bottom of the fridge as possible so that anything leakage or spillage does not contaminate any other food

Super Mario World is generally considered to be one of the best games ever made, due to its amazing graphics (for the time), superb gameplay and level design, and its immense depth. There are plenty of Super Mario World secrets that the developers have included in the game, and the fact that people are still playing the game now and enjoying it just as much (since the game was released in 1992) speaks volumes.
Upon completing the game you might realise that you didn't visit the levels. This is due to the fact that here are multiple ways to progress around map, and dozens of levels that you don't even have to visit. In fact, it's actually possible to reach Bowser's castle by only completing 11 levels!
First of all, when looking at the map realise that every level that is marked as red (rather than yellow) has a secret ending in it. That secret ending will usually open up another path to somewhere else. This means you'll need to complete the level normally, then go back and look for a secret area somewhere. In addition to this, there is the secret Star Road that can be accessed from different points on the map. In between each star is a level. Complete that level and you gain access to a new star, which will transport you to a new place on the map. Finish the entire star road and you can take on the Special area, where you have to make your way through 8 ultra-hard levels. None of this is necessary, and most players probably won't even figure it out, but it's a great bonus and one of the nicest Super Mario World secrets.
By far the most useful of all of the Super Mario World secrets is the Top Secret Area, which is located above the first Donut Ghost House. Once you've unlocked it you can go in as many times as you like and stock up on mushrooms, fire-flowers, feathers and even get Yoshi.

I remember back in the days with Track & Field for the NES when you had to push the A & B buttons as fast as you can to simulate the two legs running. It was really tiring and our fingers would hurt after a long game. Here's a tip if you still have the game and are stuck with ancient gen gaming. Place a piece of paper over the A and B buttons and slide your finger back and forth really fast. Using a controller with turbo mode also helps tremendously.
Ok, let's get back on topic and back to the future. Now that wii have the We remote, instead of mashing buttons to simulate running we actually have to simulate running with our body parts. That means holding the nunchuck and Wii remote and shaking them as fast as you can. This can get really tiring really fast so it's a great way to keep in shape if you're a 24/7 gamer.
The controls aren't that bad in the game but it sure can be tough depending on the event you play. I always had trouble with high jump and triple jump. I just can't seem to get the timing right when I flick the remote upwards to jump. The javelin throw event also gives me trouble because it also requires you to flick the remote up with good timing. Swimming and rowing is also a pain to play especially against the computer on Masters difficulty. Sometimes I don't even know if my movements are helping.
The game is not that easy to pick up and play for newcomers because you have to explain the controls to them more often than other party games and different events have different controls. Once you get that out of the way though, the game is pretty fun with multiplayer. We had a blast in the Dream Race which is essentially Mario Kart on foot. Archery was also fun because it really requires you to act like you're holding a bow and arrow. However, to get the most out of multiplayer, you'll have to play single player to unlock events for multiplayer. Good thing it's not that hard as long as you're strong in a few events. You just have to place third in a circuit to advance.
It's a shame that online multiplayer didn't make it into the game, but you can still use Nintendo WFC to check the records of players all around the world. There's some pretty darn good players out there and they don't let tough control schemes stop them from setting a world record. You gotta work hard and practice, practice, practice to make it on the list. You might even get healthy and buff on the way there.
This game doesn't scream fun, but it's nice to pick up and play once in a while especially with some friends or family. There will be times when you get frustrated with the game because of the controls, but then there will also be times of laughter when your opponents get frustrated by the controls and you win. If it wasn't for the multiplayer and online rankings, I would have given this game a 6. Overall this game is a 7 and it would have scored higher if online multiplayer was included.

The Super Mario Bros are a part of videogame royalty since their creation by Nintendo. When the first Nintendo came out in the mid 1980’s it was incredibly successful, but it actually took a while to catch on. The very first Nintendo games didn’t really offer anything different than what was already on the market from gaming companies like Atari. I am arguably the number 1 fan of Mario Kart Wii! As a casual gamer (with addictive characteristics), I never thought that I would get so much fun out of playing a driving game! As with my skepticism when we first bought our Nintendo Wii, I was extremely reluctant to buy my husbands gaming choice of Mario Kart for the Wii. I was so sure that I would not enjoy what I thought would be a boring driving game that would only appeal to boys. But however hard it is for me to admit again, Shaun proved to be right. I love it!
Mario Kart has it all. You can play up to four players, or more via the internet. You get to choose great Mario characters to play, along with many 'pimped up' karts and bikes. And the more points you score in different levels, the more karts, bikes, characters and tracks you unlock! For beginners you will start off in the 50cc range of vehicles, and will soon progress up to the 150cc range. You will also be graded on your driving ability. If you are good enough to get into the star class then more treats are unlocked like expert ghost data to battle against, and competitions to get you 'fired up'.
Surprisingly, all this is just for starters. If you have Internet and other friends with Mario Kart, you can hook up online to play against each other. You can also play against other Mario Kart fans all over the world. Boost your ratings and rankings if you can win these races. I can get 'lost in Mario Kart space' for hours when I get online!
My favourite extra feature is the competition section. Here you can compete in crazy time trial and quest tasks against other online players. Nintendo are constantly setting new competitions so you will always be spoilt for choice. Just yesterday I was playing a new competition where I had to find 15 coins amongst the autumnal virtual scenery whilst trying to avoid the stampede of giant caterpillars! Mario Kart Wii really is gaming fun for all ages!
Mario Kart is not for the faint hearted though as it can get very fast paced, hectic and dare I say a bit vicious out on the track! If you are anything like me, and you don't like losing, you may find yourself shouting at your TV screen!

Mario Party 7 is the latest version of the Mario Party series of video games from Nintendo, rated E for Everyone.
Mario and friends are back with another edition of Mario Party 7 GameCube version! With this version, up to eight people can play together in more than 80 mini-games. Dozens of Mushroom Kingdom characters compete in everything from speed-based games to memory challenges, with swimming, jumping, running, driving and much more. Knock your friends out of a water-bubble, fire yourself out of a cannon, and knock down a wobbly Pokey as fast as you can. Players can use the GameCube microphone for some of the games (but you can play the microphone games even if you don't have a mic). Tons of fun in both minigames and multi-level play for all ages.
My eight year old had this to say about Mario Party 7: In Mario Party 7, there are three ways you can play: you can play the Solo Cruise by yourself, or the Party Cruise with other people, or the Mini Game Cruise which is either by yourself or with other people however you want. The mini games are a lot of fun but they are pretty easy, good for kids that are younger, like 5 years old and up. There are some hard games like the Bowser games which are harder though, and some games get a lot harder as you play them, but there are only a few of those. There is one really hard game called King of the River that you have to unlock to play.
Whenever you play you get coins, and then you trade the coins for other things like unlocking extra bonus games, or sounds and some kinds of little trinkets that do funny things. Even though it's easy I think it's still fun to play, and I would rate this an 8 on a scale of 1 to 10.
As a mom, I think Mario Party 7 is great. It is accessible for even really young kids. With all the mini games it includes, at different levels of difficulty, it can keep pretty much any child in single digits engaged. There is even a way for eight players to play together in some games. And it includes games that use a microphone so youngest players don't have to be able to use a controller to join in.
Mario Party 7 is great for kids and adults to play together, with no violence at all, just good competitive fun.

The Rocket Start
Your racing success starts as early as the starting line! Keep your eye on the countdown. The "2" appears as if it comes from behind your screen. When that animation stops and the "2" is in the middle of the screen, press the accelerator. If timed correctly, your kart or bike will receive a big boost at the start and will accelerate to top speed quickly.
Tip: Getting knocked off the course is never a good time. It's a frustrating wait as you're lifted back into the race. As soon as you're dropped onto the course hit the accelerator. If timed correctly (slam it as soon as you land), your kart or bike receives a speed boost similar to the rocket start. This will cut down wait time and helps get you back in the race as fast as possible.
If you hit the accelerator before the countdown finishes and miss the rocket start, your kart or bike suffers a burnout and will start much slower than your competitors. With practice you should be able to perform the rocket start on every single race. You can also use the countdown "beep" as timing; slam the accelerator after the "2" beeps and perform the rocket start. There you go, now go and practice until you have it down to an art.

Repeat as required for as many players as you have playing. Here's How to Dodge Red and Green Shells while racing
To dodge red shells, put a banana behind you, by either dropping it there or holding it there. When the red shell collides with the banana, its effects will be useless, allowing you to proceed with the race unhindered.
To dodge green shells, use the same technique as above for the red shell, if the shell is heading straight for you or is bounced off a wall. In other situations, use the three-shell weapon. Red or blue shells will protect you from the green shells in these situations.

Here's a great technique you can use when trying to dodge blue shells targeted at you when you're in first place, the trick is to use any type of mushroom. Specifically, use the mushroom when the blue shell begins to rise over you to avoid its blast. You've got to time this well.
